Vagues-de-metal

A Tribute to Form, Force & Function

Concept & Inspiration

Forged in metal, shaped by hand, and inspired by the rhythm of nature—Waves in Metal is a collection of functional art that captures the raw, kinetic energy of crashing waves and urban resilience. Drawing inspiration from Mumbai’s iconic shoreline, where tides meet stone with unwavering force, this collection reinterprets that elemental collision through sculpted metal surfaces.

Each piece is handcrafted – hammered, molded, and composed to reflect the tension between fluidity and strength. From wardrobes to consoles and wall panels, the works evoke a sense of movement frozen in time, celebrating both the drama of natural forces and the quiet resilience they represent.

This body of work is part of our ongoing exploration into metal as a medium—its weight, texture, and capacity to hold memory. Through carefully composed volumes and intricate detailing, the collection transforms functional objects into deeply expressive forms.

Process

Every piece in the Vagues de Métal collection is the result of only hands-driven process. Sheets of metal are cut, hammered, and molded by skilled artisans, then composed piece by piece to form richly textured surfaces that embody both strength and movement.

Handcrafted in India, this process ensures that each creation is one of a kind – even when an order is repeated, no two pieces can ever be identical. The individuality of every fold, crease, and hammered plane reflects the artisan’s hand and the organic unpredictability of the material itself.
